Daniel Huecias is a journalist and producer in podcasting and broadcast radio. Based in Los Angeles, Daniel produces What’s Next, Los Angeles? with Mike Bonin in partnership with LA Forward and This Way Out Radio, an international LGBTQ+ radio news program. He also serves as a board member for The Association of LGBTQ Journalists Los Angeles (LANLGJA).

More recently, Daniel was Production Fellow at Maximum Fun, producing on Feeling Seen and the network’s flagship interview show, Bullseye with Jesse Thorn.

He is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara where he directed news and special programming at KCSB-FM, the first and most senior of all UC radio stations. His work as a producer, journalist, and photographer has been featured in various publications in California and radio stations across the globe.

In a past life, Daniel was a nationally ranked black belt in Taekwondo, the former frontman of a contemporary Christian youth band, and a funeral songster. He’s since retired from singing but will still partake in the ssangjeolgon if pressured by his peers.
